How do I access advanced settings on my Cogeco modem?

The advanced settings on your Cogeco modem allow you to perform actions such as setting a specific DNS server or enabling port-forwarding. See below for steps to log into your modem with a mobile device or computer.

Note: Before taking these steps, the device you’re using to log into your modem will need to be connected to your Wi-Fi network or connect directly to the modem via Ethernet.

Sagemcom F@st 3896

  1. In an Internet browser, go to http://192.168.40.1 to access the modem’s Administrator page.
  2. Log in with your admin username and password if you have set them up, or use the default credentials:
    • Username: "admin"
    • Password: the Gateway management password on the sticker on the back of the modem

Note: Most advanced features for the F@st 3896 are managed through the Cogeco Wi-Fi app.

  1. In an Internet browser, go to http://192.168.0.1 to access the modem’s Administrator page.
  2. Log in with your admin username and password if you have set them up, or use the default credentials:
