How do I manage specific devices on the Cogeco Wi-Fi App?

To view the status of a device and apply specific settings to it, follow the steps below:

  1. Select the People and Devices icon from the bottom of the screen and select the Devices tab.

  2. Select the Home, Guest or Internet Only network to view the devices connected to it.

  3. Select a device to view its status and settings.

Device settings

  • Schedule an Internet Freeze - Select Schedule Internet Freeze to disable Internet on the device for scheduled times. You can customize a preset period such as School Nights or Bedtime, or create a custom schedule.
    • Note: To temporarily disable the Internet, select the pause icon at the top right of the device page.
  • Rename the device - Tap the 3 dots at the top right and select Nickname to set a custom name.
  • Assign the device to a profile - Tap the 3 dots at the top right and select Assigned to. Learn more about People Profiles.
  • Assign the device to a room - Tap the 3 dots at the top right and select Assign device to room. This room assignment helps the Sense feature determine where motion is being detected. It will not affect which Cogeco Wi-Fi Pod the device connects to.
  • Adjust Guard settings - If a device is not assigned to a profile, you can adjust its Guard settings by selecting the settings icon next to Events. If you enable or disable a feature from here, it will apply the change to all devices associated with that profile. Learn more about Guard settings.
