Replacing one of your Wi-Fi Pods or extenders is as easy as setting one up. Simply follow the standard process for adding pods or extenders to activate the new pod or extender on your network.

Send back the old pod or extender following the standard equipment return process and when we remove it from your account it will be removed from the pod/extender list in the app automatically.

Replacing the gateway pod/extender

One of your Cogeco Wi-Fi Pods or extenders may need to be left connected to your modem via Ethernet, depending on the type of modem (this will be indicated in the app during the setup). If you're replacing this "gateway pod/extender", you'll need to follow a few additional steps.

  1. Unplug the current gateway pod/extender.
  2. Connect the Ethernet to your new pod or extender and plug it into a power outlet.
  3. When the network comes back on, it will automatically detect this pod or extender as the new gateway pod/extender.
