What can I do if the volume won't change on my Standard TV receiver?

If you see the volume bar on screen when you press the Volume Up or Volume Down buttons but the volume doesn’t actually change, you can follow the steps below to change the Audio Output mode and restore your volume control. This issue is usually caused by using an audio receiver.

Changing the Audio Output Mode on a Pace receiver

1. Turn off your receiver with the Power button.
2. With the receiver off, press the Menu/Settings button to open the user settings.
3. Select HDMI Settings.
4. Change Audio Output Mode to L-PCM.
5. Press Power again to exit the settings.

Changing the Audio Output on an ARRIS/Motorola receiver

1. Turn off your receiver with the Power button.
2. With the receiver off, press the Menu/Settings button to open the user settings.
3. Select Additional HDMI Settings.
4. Change Audio Output to L-PCM.
5. Press Power again to exit the settings.
