Like most electronic devices, your receiver generates heat, which can cause it to freeze or lock if it isn’t well ventilated. Your receiver can also remain frozen after a power outage. The first thing to do if your receiver is frozen is to simply wait a moment to see if it refreshes.

If the problem persists and you still can’t change the channels, follow these steps to reset your receiver:

  1. Unplug your receiver from the electrical outlet and wait 15 seconds.
  2. Plug the power back in and wait approximately 60 seconds.
  3. Turn the receiver back on.

If you aren’t able to resolve the issue on your own, please contact Technical Support.

Good to know: To help prevent your receiver from freezing in the future, make sure it’s placed in a well-ventilated area, and doesn’t have anything directly on it.
