From the Pods menu, you can view all the pods and extenders in your network, see their status and connected devices, rename them, and add new ones.
Viewing your pods and extenders
- Select the gear icon at the top right of the home screen to open Settings.
- Select Pods. This will give you a quick view of the status of your connected pods and extenders.
- Tap on a pod or extender from the list to bring up the Pod Detail screen to view connected devices.
Renaming a pod or extender
From the Pods screen, select the options icon (3 dots) next to the pod or extender you want to rename and then select Rename pod.
Note: While renaming a pod or extender, its LED will flash. This can be helpful for identifying a pod or extender if you don’t know where it’s located.
Adding a pod or extender
When you receive your Cogeco Wi-Fi Pods or extenders, they’ll already be set up on your Cogeco account and ready to go. Simply plug them in and follow a few easy steps on the app to get started.
Note: If you’re replacing the main pod or extender that’s connected to the modem with an Ethernet cable, disconnect the old one first and then connect the new one via Ethernet. When it comes online it will be recognized as the gateway device automatically.
- Open the Cogeco Business Wi-Fi app and log in.
- Select the gear icon at the top right of the home screen to open Settings.
- Select Pods.
- Your new pod or extender should already be listed and come online shortly.
If you have more pods or extenders that aren’t showing in the app, please contact tech support to make sure they’re on your Cogeco account.
Good to know: When the pod or extender is first connected, it’s normal for the signal to be Poor. As the app optimizes your mesh network with the new location, the signal will improve.
