Yes, you can use a third-party router but we don’t recommend this setup since we won’t be able to fully troubleshoot your wireless network. When you’re using the built-in Wi-Fi in your Cogeco modem we can use our diagnostic tools to identify network issues.
If you still want to use a wireless router, connect it to your modem with an Ethernet cable and contact technical support to put your modem in bridge mode. Bridge mode disables the wireless signal from your modem so it won’t interfere with the router.
