How do I make the most of i-Guide HD?

This interactive guide on your digital receiver makes it easy to find and record the TV programs you want to watch.

With i-Guide HD you can do the following:

• Check the TV listings for the next 14 days
• Search by channel, time or HD content
• Create Favourites lists
• Set up auto-tuning to automatically switch to HD when it’s available

Good to know:

• You can access i-Guide HD simply by pressing the GUIDE button on your remote or select Listings By Time from the main menu.
• Categories are indicated by colour: purple for movies, blue for kids and green for sports.
• This guide was designed for high-definition (HD) TVs, but also works on standard-definition (SD) TVs. If you’re not seeing the guide on your SD TV, see here for troubleshooting steps.

Creating a Favourites list

It’s easy to create a list of your favourites, follow these steps:

1. Press the Menu button on your remote twice to open the Main Menu.
2. Select Setup, then Favourite Lists Setup. If this will be your first favourites list, you’ll be taken directly to the list of channels.
3. From the list of channels, select the ones you want to add to your favourites. Selected channels will have a heart icon.
4. When you’re done making your selections, select the checkmark icon at the bottom to save your list.
5. Your list will be given a default name (e.g. “List 01”). To rename it, select it from the list and select the keyboard icon.

Good to know: You can have up to 5 favourite lists. To add more, return to the list under Favourite Lists Setup and select the NEW icon at the bottom.

Here are 3 ways to access your Favourites list:

1. While watching TV, press the FAV button on your remote to skip to the next channel in your Favourites list.
2. From the main guide or mini guide, press the FAV button to show only the channels on your list. Press the FAV button again to select a different favourites list.
3. From the Quick Menu, select the heart icon.
   

Enabling Auto-Tune HD

The Auto-Tune HD feature will automatically switch you to the HD version of a channel if it’s available when you select the SD version.

To enable this feature, follow these steps:

1. Press the Menu button on your remote twice to open the Main Menu.
2. Select Setup, then Guide Setup.
3. Scroll down to Tune for HDTV and select Yes.
