How can I be sure that the program I set to record won’t be cut off if it goes past the scheduled end time?

A program that you recorded may be cut off if the program lasts longer than originally scheduled. This is most common for live events, such as sports games or awards ceremonies, but can also affect the programs that follow those events if their start times are pushed back.

To avoid this, you can extend the recording time by adjusting the settings for that particular recording. Just select the option below and then select the amount of time to extend the recording by, from 5 minutes to an hour, depending on what’s available. You can do this while scheduling the recording, or from the recording’s settings afterwards.
