RCS (Rich Communication Services) is an upgraded messaging standard designed to enhance your texting experience. When fully implemented, it can bring features like read receipts, typing indicators, and improved quality for photos and videos directly within your standard messaging app, similar to what you might see in chat apps like WhatsApp or Signal.

Will I be able to use RCS on my iPhone with your service?

At this time, RCS functionality is not yet active for iPhone users on our network. While Apple has announced that RCS support will be coming to iPhones, it is not yet functional for the time being.

What does this mean for my messaging experience right now?

This means that your iPhone will continue to send and receive messages using the established SMS (for plain text messages) and MMS (for picture messages and group messages). You won't see the enhanced features that RCS offers, such as read receipts or high-quality media sharing, within your standard messaging app at this moment.

When can I expect RCS to be available for my iPhone on your network?

We are closely monitoring the rollout of RCS support for iPhones as announced by Apple. Once it becomes available from Apple, we will work to enable and support it on our network. We will update our customers as soon as we have more specific information regarding its availability with our service.

Are there any alternatives for enhanced messaging features in the meantime?

Absolutely! Many customers already use third-party messaging applications like WhatsApp, Signal, or even Apple's own iMessage (when communicating with other Apple users). These apps offer a rich set of features including group chat, high-quality media sharing, and read receipts, and are not affected by the current RCS rollout schedule. Please remember that these applications use your data plan.
