If you get a suspicious text that might be spam or phishing, here’s how to protect yourself:
- Don’t click on any links in the message, and don’t respond to the message.
- Forward the message directly to 7726 (SPAM). Doing so helps Canadian carriers investigate and block fraudulent senders.
- Once you’ve reported it, delete the message.
- Block the number that contacted you in your device’s messaging settings.
If you have concerns about your account security or want further support, contact Cogeco Mobile support.
Good to know: Always exercise caution with unknown senders, especially if they request personal information. Reporting fraudulent messages helps protect you and others.
