If your phone is showing the message “Emergency calls only,” this means it’s not connected to the Cogeco Mobile network but can still reach emergency services.

Here are reasons this may be happening:

  • You don’t have network coverage in your current location.
  • You’re having issues with your SIM card. It may be damaged, not inserted properly or not activated.
  • You may be experiencing account issues, such as suspended or inactive service.
  • Your roaming settings are off. If you’re outside Canada with roaming turned off, this prevents you from connecting to a network.
  • You may have device or network settings that need to be reset or manually selected.

If your phone continues to display this message, restart your phone or reinsert your SIM card.
