Canada’s Internet Code was created by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) in July 2019 to enhance consumer protections in connection with the acquisition and use of Internet services.

As the new Internet Code takes effect on January 31, 2020, Canada’s major Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have produced a video series in American Sign Language (ASL) and Langue des signes du Québec (LSQ) to support Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard of Hearing (DDBHH) Internet customers.

Each of the seven videos deals with a specific theme using plain language and clear examples. All videos are fully accessible and include captions, voice-over and transcripts.
