This usually occurs with an HDMI connection from the receiver to the TV. Please follow the steps below to resolve the situation.

  • Check if the problem is present on one or many channels. If the problem is present on one channel only, please refer to the Reported Outages page to check if there is an outage on this channel (see Residential or Business outages).
  • If there are many channels affected, try the following:
    • Turn off the receiver by pressing CBL and PWR, wait 15 seconds, and turn the receiver back on.
    • Unplug the HDMI cable from the receiver or the TV, wait 15 seconds, and plug the HDMI cable back in.

If the problem persists, contact the Technical Support for more assistance (see Residential or Business contacts).

Lip Sync Delay

If there is a slight delay between the audio and video, you can also adjust the Lip Sync Delay settings to align them. This is only available on ARRIS-model receivers.

  1. Turn off your receiver with the Power button.
  2. With the receiver off, press the Menu/Settings button to open the user settings.
  3. Select Additional HDMI Settings.
  4. Select Lip Sync and change it to Manual. This will add a Lip Sync Delay setting.
  5. Select an appropriate Lip Sync Delay.
  6. Press Power again to exit the settings.

You may need to try a few delay lengths to get your audio to sync up.
