If you sign up for an eligible Internet plan and register for pre-authorized debit payments (PAD), we’ll apply a $5 discount to your monthly bills. These savings are in addition to any promotions or other discounts you’re receiving.

Learn more about setting up pre-authorized payments.

What do I need to qualify for the discount?

  • An active, eligible residential Internet plan in good standing (only available to new customers)
  • Pre-authorized debit payments (pre-authorized payments from a credit card do not qualify)

Why didn’t I receive the discount?

  • Still using pre-authorized debit payments? We check each month to make sure you still qualify, so make sure your pre-authorized payments are still going through.
    • Note: It takes around 7 days for PAD payments to start, so if you set it up less than a week before your bill was prepared, it might not apply until your next bill.
  • Eligible Internet plan? The discount only applies when you’re on an active, eligible Internet plan. If you’re on a government-subsidised plan or manage a bulk account, you would not qualify.
  • Correct payment type? If your pre-authorized payments are coming from a credit card, you’ll need to switch to debit payments from your bank or financial institution.
  • Installed after November 5, 2025? The PAD discount is only available to customers who installed Cogeco on or after November 5, 2025.

If you’ve confirmed all of this and still aren’t receiving the discount, contact us and we can check your account.

Good to know: The discount applies to each Cogeco account that meets the criteria, so if you pay for multiple accounts you can get the discount on each one.
