How do I add a purchase PIN so nobody can make On Demand or Pay-Per-View rentals or purchases without my permission?

Yes, you can add a purchase PIN to prevent people from renting or purchasing On Demand and Pay-Per-View titles. See below for steps to add a purchase PIN on each of our TV platforms.

Adding a purchase PIN on an EPICO 4K Cloud PVR

1. Select Settings ⚙ from the main menu.
2. Select Parental Controls.
3. Select Purchase locks.
4. Enter your PIN, or set one up when prompted.
5. Select Yes.

Adding a purchase PIN on TiVo

1. Press the TiVo® button on your remote.
2. Select Menu.
3. Select Settings.
4. Select Parental & Purchase Controls.
5. Enter your PIN.
6. Select Purchase Controls. If you haven’t set up a Parental Control PIN yet, you’ll be prompted to set one up.
7. Select Require a PIN to purchase.

Note: The purchase PIN will only affect the box you set it up on so if you have multiple boxes, you may want to set up the lock on each one.

Adding a purchase PIN on Digital TV

1. Press the Menu/Settings button twice to open the Main Menu.
2. Select Parental Controls.
3. Enter your PIN, or set one up when prompted.
4. Select PINs Setup.
5. Highlight the field next to Enter new Purchase PIN and enter your new PIN (do not press OK/Select first).
6. Enter your PIN a second time to confirm.

Note: The purchase PIN will only affect the box you set it up on so if you have multiple boxes, you may want to set up the lock on each one.
