Will my current phone, Internet and TV subscriptions be cancelled automatically when I switch to Cogeco?

If you’re transferring your home phone number from your current provider to Cogeco, once your Cogeco service is installed, your previous phone plan will be cancelled automatically. However, if you aren’t keeping the same phone number, or if you’re subscribing to TV or Internet service with Cogeco, you’ll need to contact your current provider to disconnect your services after subscribing to Cogeco, but before your services are installed.

Good to know:

  • You can only transfer your phone number if you’re staying in the same municipality. For example, if you’re moving from Burlington to Hamilton, you won’t be able to keep your Burlington number. Learn more about transferring a phone number to Cogeco.
  • Your current provider might charge you a termination fee if this is part of your agreement with them.
