Before bringing your phone to a repair center or shipping it, please complete these essential steps to ensure a fast, smooth service:
- Back up your data: Remove all confidential, proprietary or personal information, as your phone may be factory reset during the repair process.
- Remove security locks: Turn off any screen locks (PIN, Face ID, Touch ID, or password).
- Deactivate "Activation Locks": You must disable features like "Find My iPhone" (Apple) or Android Activation Lock. Note: For Android phones, this must be done directly on the phone.
- Remove cards: Take out your SIM card and any external SD memory cards.
