The model number is the most precise identifier for your phone, and it’s essential for confirming device compatibility with our network. There are several ways to locate this number. You can find it even if your phone doesn’t currently have service:
- Check the About section in Settings: For most devices, the model number is listed in your phone's system information.
- For iPhones: Go to Settings > General > About and look for “Model Number”. You may see a longer number first; just tap it to reveal the shorter, more important “A” followed by four numbers (e.g., A2894).
- For Android Phones: Go to Settings, then scroll down to About Phone or a similar option. The "Model Number" is listed there.
- Find it on the original packaging: If you still have the box your phone came in, a sticker with the model number and other details (like the IMEI) is usually on the outside. You can also use this tip when buying a new device: check the box in-store before you purchase to confirm the model number matches one on our list, and check the IMEI on our compatibility tool.
- Look Up Your IMEI Number: Every phone has a unique IMEI number. You can find it by dialing *#06# on your phone's keypad. With this number, you can use our compatibility tool to confirm compatibility. Learn more about checking your IMEI Number.
