In telephony, line hunting is a method of distributing phone calls from a single telephone number to a group of several phone lines.
It's essentially a form of conditional call forwarding. If the line called is busy, the call goes to the next available line. The calling party will only get a busy signal if none of the lines in the group are open.
Cogeco’s business phone service supports linear hunting, meaning calls are always delivered to the next available line. Business phone customers with more than one line interested in line hunting should contact us for more information and to set up the service.
