How do I record a show or a movie on EPICO?

There are several ways to record a show or a movie on EPICO. Select an option to jump to a section:

• Setting a recording:
  • While browsing in the guide
  • While a program is playing
  • From the the info/details page of a show
• Setting a manual recording
• Advanced recording options

Good to know: You can record live content or set future recordings, but you can’t record recently aired content (e.g. the beginning of a show you restarted).

Setting a recording while browsing in the guide

1. Highlight the program you want to record in the guide and open the recording options:
   • On an EPICO 4K Cloud PVR, press the Record button on your remote to start recording the program, then press a second time to make it a series recording (if it’s not part of a series, this will cancel the recording).
   • On a mobile device or in a browser, select the program and then select the Record option.
   • On a streaming device, the button to access the recording options varies depending on the device (e.g. long-press OK/Select on an Apple or Fire device or press * on a Roku device).
2. Select your recording options (e.g. record a single episode or the entire series).
3. Select Record.

Setting a recording while a program is playing

• On an EPICO 4K Cloud PVR, press the Record button on your remote to start recording the program, then press a second time to make it a series recording (if it’s not part of a series, this will cancel the recording).
• In the EPICO app on a mobile or streaming device or in a browser, click/tap or press OK/Select to bring up playback options, and then select the Record icon.

Setting a recording from the the info/details page of a show

1. Select Record or Record series.
   • Note: To record a specific episode, select it from the episode list.
2. Choose your preferred advanced recording options then select Record.

Setting a manual recording

You can manually set a recording start time and end time on a specific channel (e.g. start recording TSN at 2 p.m. and end at 11 p.m.).

1. Select Recordings or DVR from the main menu to open the DVR Manager.
2. Select + or + Add Recording.
3. Select Manual Recording.
4. Customize the Channel, Date & Time and Keep until.
   
   • Note: The Keep until option will prevent recordings from being deleted to make room for new recordings if you run out of storage space, but the recording will still be deleted 90 days after the date it was recorded.
5. Select Record to save the recording.

Advanced recording options

When you record a new program from the guide or info page, you’ll be prompted with some additional recording options. You can also adjust these settings later from the DVR Manager or by pressing the Record button on your remote.

• Show type: Choose to record a series First run only or both First run & rerun.
• Time: Choose to record a series Any day, any time, Any day around a specific time or Any time once per day.
• Channel: If a single program or series is aired on several channels, choose which channel you want to record it from. To record episodes of the same show on another channel, you will need to set a second recording.
• Recording Padding: Choose to stop the recording At the scheduled end time or up to 1 hour later.
• Keep until: Choose to keep your recording on your Cloud DVR until space is needed or until you decide to erase it.
  
  • Note: The recording will still be deleted 90 days after the date it was recorded.
