Routers act as a gateway between the Internet and the devices in your home. If you’re experiencing slow speeds online, a malfunctioning router can be the source of the problem. To check if your personal router is the issue, we recommend bypassing the router by connecting a device directly to the Ethernet port on the back of the Cogeco modem. A laptop is a good choice, since it’s easy to bring it close to the modem.
Once your device is connected to the Cogeco modem, you can run the Cogeco Speed Test to measure the actual speeds you’re getting from us.
