How do I record my shows and movies with my TiVo PVR and OnePass?

OnePass finds and saves all the episodes of a series available from your TiVo^® PVR recordings, Cogeco On Demand and online sources (such as Netflix), and puts them together under My Shows in a list.

Good to know: All normal TiVo recording options are available on TiVo Minis.

Recording a single episode or a movie

Here’s how to record a single episode or a movie while you’re watching it:

1. Press the Rec button on your remote.
2. Select Record this episode or Record this movie.

You can also set a show to record from the TV guide:

1. Highlight the show you want to record, then press the Rec button on your remote.
2. Select Record this episode or Record this movie.

Good to know: If you try to record a show on a channel that isn’t part of your package, a black screen with a green status bar will appear.

Recording several episodes or a complete series

With the OnePass feature, you just have to follow these steps:

1. Select the program you want to record from the TV guide.
2. Press the Rec button on your remote.
3. Select OnePass & Other Options, then Create a OnePass.

Finding your recordings

There are two ways to access your recordings:

• My Shows - Go to TiVo Central > My Shows. From here you can choose to list only movies, TV series, sports events or kids’ programs, and each list can be sorted by date or name.
• Recording Activity - From here you can view your list of recently set recordings, carried out or not. If a recording has not yet been carried out, you will see why. Here’s how to access the Recording Activity folder:

1. 1. Press the TiVo Central button on your remote.
   2. Select Menu.
   3. Select Manage.
   4. Select Recording Activity.

Changing your OnePass settings

You can modify your OnePass settings to, for example, include any available streaming videos. Here’s how:

1. Press the TiVo Central button on your remote.
2. Select My Shows.
3. Scroll through the titles and select the one you’re interested in.
4. Press OK/SELECT on your remote.
5. Select More Options.
6. Select Modify this OnePass.

About your TiVo PVR storage limit

With the TiVo PVR, you can record up to 6 high-definition (HD) or 4K shows simultaneously. It includes a smart scheduling feature that doesn’t just track the amount of space you currently have available on your TiVo PVR, but also how much space will be needed in the near future to record all the shows you have scheduled.

If your TiVo PVR will be full in the near future, it’ll let you know and will give you options (such as deleting some programs automatically), allowing you to schedule new recordings.

Note: External storage devices are no longer supported with TiVo.
