How do I install and activate my Pods?

To install and activate your Cogeco Wi-Fi Pods, follow the steps below, or download a printable copy of the instructions.

Step 1 – Ensure your modem is active

Check that your modem is online. If you haven’t installed your Cogeco modem, refer to our installation guides.

Step 2 – Download and open the Cogeco Wi-Fi app

  1. Download and install the Cogeco Wi-Fi app on your mobile device (iOS App Store or Google Play Store).
  2. Accept the Terms and Conditions.
  3. Log in with your My Account username and password.

Good to know: You will need the app throughout the installation of the Wi-Fi Pods.

Step 3 – Follow the setup instructions in the app

Follow the steps indicated in the app to set up your Wi-Fi network.

Note: Depending on your modem model, it may need to be connected to the first Pod via Ethernet cable. Look for this in the app instructions and leave it connected after the installation is complete if instructed.

Step 4 – Name your network and create a password

During the setup in the app, you will be prompted to enter a network name and password (at least 8 characters long).

If you have an existing Wi-Fi network, we recommend using the same name and password so that your devices will connect to it seamlessly. If you do choose to use a new name and password, make sure all of your devices are connected to it so they don’t lose service when the old network is disabled.

Step 5 – Set up additional Wi-Fi Pods as needed

If you have more than one Cogeco Wi-Fi Pod, identify the optimal location by following the helpful onscreen tips in the app and add it to your network.
