How do I set up Secure Browsing through Cogeco Security (F-Secure)?

With Cogeco Security (F-Secure) enabled on your computer, Secure Browsing & Banking will also be enabled by default. See below for ways to customize the browsing security on a device.

Note: If you haven’t installed Cogeco Security on the device, choose your device type for instructions.

Managing Allowed and Blocked Websites

  1. Open the Cogeco Security program on the computer for which you want to manage the settings.
  2. From the home screen, select Secure Browsing & Banking.

  3. Select Manage allowed and blocked websites under Tools.
    Note: This will require Admin access on your computer so you may be prompted to log in.

  4. Select the Allowed or Blocked tab to add specific websites to allow or block.

  5. Select the Add new button.
  6. Enter the address you want to allow or block.

  7. Select OK.

Advanced Settings

  1. Open the Cogeco Security program on the computer for which you want to manage the settings.
  2. From the home screen, select Secure Browsing & Banking.

  3. Select Settings under Tools.
    Note: This will require Admin access on your computer so you may be prompted to log in.

  4. From the Settings you can enable or disable specific security features, such as reputation ratings, banking protection, or browser extensions.
