If you are having trouble connecting to your Internet service, we might ask you to reset your gateway as one of the troubleshooting steps. See below for steps on how to do this with a fibre optic gateway.
- Unplug the power for a few seconds, or
- Insert a straightened paperclip, toothpick, or similar object into the RESET hole located on the side of the gateway (see below). Press the paperclip in for 3 seconds, then release.
- The gateway will try to resynchronize with the Cogeco network, which can take up to 5 minutes.
Note: After the gateway comes back online, your Cogeco Wi-Fi Pods should reconnect automatically. See here for how to check the connection status through the Cogeco Wi-Fi App.
