Note: Over the coming months, Cogeco will be migrating customers to a new version of Webmail. After logging in, check the Cogeco logo at the top left of the page to see which version you are on. All customers will be migrated to the new platform by the end of summer 2022.

The new Webmail also has Modern and Classic modes, depending on which browser you are using. These guides will focus on the Modern mode.

With Webmail, you can change default options when composing a message for ease of use.

To turn on Automatic Spell Checking:

Legacy Webmail

  1. Click on Options near the bottom left hand corner.

  2. Click on General, and under Composing Email place a check mark for Always spell check before sending a message.

  3. Click on Save Preferences at the bottom and Ok.

New Webmail

In the new Webmail’s Modern mode, spelling will be checked as you type but there will not be a final spell check before sending the message.

Note: In Classic mode, go to Preferences > Mail > Composing Messages and enable Mandatory spellcheck before sending a message.
