How do I configure my Call Waiting service? (*70)

Call Waiting is automatically activated when this service is included in your phone plan (see Residential or Business options).

If someone calls while you're already on a call, you'll hear a tone to inform you that a second call is waiting. To put the first call on hold and answer the second, simply press the Talk or Flash button on your phone.

If you do not want to be disturbed during an important call, you can deactivate Call Waiting by using *70. Call Waiting will automatically be reactivated when you hang up. 

Good to know:

  • Call Waiting will not work while using Three-Way Calling. Incoming calls will be directed to Voice Mail.
  • If you phone supports Call Display, you will also see the name and number of the second caller (i.e. Visual Call Waiting).
