Do I need to prepare my device to install Cogeco’s Security Services (F-Secure)?

It is important to uninstall all security software that you have on your device before installing Cogeco Security Services (F-Secure).

If your computer meets these requirements, simply follow the instructions on our Security Services (Residential) or F-Secure (Business) pages.

System requirements for Windows

• Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 SP1
• Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
• 1.2 GB of free disk space
• 1 GB or more of memory is recommended
• Javascript must be enabled in the user's browser settings to enable active block pages

System requirements for Mac

• macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later, or macOS 10.14 (Mojave) or later
• Intel processor
• 250 MB of free disk space
• 1 GB or more of memory is recommended

System requirements for Android

• Android 8.0 or later
• API level 21 onwards
• About 70 MB of free disc space (including Safe Browser)

System requirements for iOS

• iOS 12-13
• 10 MB of free disc space
