Why do people’s voices sound robotic on the phone?

This is usually caused by interference with a wireless telephone’s signal. To check:

• Unplug the bases of your wireless phones from their wall jacks, then test call quality with a corded phone.
• Make sure that no wireless devices (router, telephone base, etc.) are near the modem. If there are, move the device a minimum of 60 cm (2 feet) from the modem.
• Shut off your computers and check the line again.
